Amarige D'amour Perfume

The Amarige D'amour Perfume is a wonderful fragrance. It has a formal feel which limits me to wearing it at night and for special occasions. This is too bad, but I would feel uncomfortable using this as a knock around fragrance. It simply goes better with evening gowns than night gowns, better with black silk than blue jeans. For this reason and because it is expensive, I rarely have Amarige D'amour Perfume on my own table. The Amarige D'amour Perfume is a thick, multi-layered perfume that is perfect for September through May. I would highly recommend it for those months, and I wear it (almost) every day. It's a little spicy and a little exotic, but still has a sweet, romantic edge. .Despite the efforts we go to when picking perfume and worrying about what will attract a man, it seems as if most men don't notice whether you're wearing the K-Mart $2 perfume or the Saks Fifth Avenue $200 perfume. the is different - people notice it and like it! I have been asked during several first dates what perfume it is that I'm wearing. That doesn't happen with any other perfume I wear.

The Amarige D'amour Perfume comes in a lovely and classic perfume bottle topped by a frosted capper that is reminiscent of a candle flame in the wind. It's packaged in a vibrant (and holiday-festive) red box that makes it great as a present. The only downside (and this is actually a good thing, but just a warning!) is that a little goes a loooong way. You don't need several sprays on each wrist the way you do with other watered-down fragrances; just a little spritz and you'll smell fabulous all day! Amarige D'amour Perfume has a nice balance of all these elements. When it first sprays on, it is mostly fruity.

There is an aroma of mandarin or mimosa oranges, white pepper, and violets in the Amarige D'amour Perfume. I like this violet aroma which is much more subtle than the average rose scent that so many perfumes seem to have. These first scents last a surprisingly long time. Usually within 20 minutes or so I'm losing those first scents to the heart of the perfume. While I lose the peppercorn fairly quickly, the mandarin and violet stay about 30 to 40 minutes. Those first aromas eventually fade into jasmine, orange blossom, melon, plum, apricot and wisteria. The sweet fruit here keeps the floral element from being overpowering. The background scents in the Amarige D'amour Perfume are sandalwood, cedarwood and iris. I really like the way sandalwood brings depth to floral scents. It is fast becoming my favorite wood tone. The cedar is a nice element, too. The iris adds a nice balance.
